Coimparing noise and detail of Canon EOS 5dIV vs Canon EOS 5DSR Canon EOS 5DSR @ iso 12800 to the left Canon EOS 5DSR ands to the right Canon EOS 5DIV. Canon 5DIV clearly has less noise, but 5DSR retains details much better. People will have to decide between the trade off's. The difference in detail is very clear from the ruler. We can see individual lines on the 5DS/R shot almost up to the 50 mark. Already at the 37 mark lines are extinct on the 5DIV shot. The advantage in noise is equality clear - but this time to the 5DIV's advantage. Especially the dark brown hair bottom left shows a clear difference. However, since DPR uses a broken Adobe RAW converter for the 5DS/R the difference in noise may (will almost certainly) in fact be smaller than seen here. Still, their is no doubt in my mind that noise will be somewhat better on the 5DIV.
